Casa Agricola Pepe Mendoza Wines in Ireland

This is a family winery run by Pepe Mendoza and his family. He is the son of Enrique Mendoza, who started the production of high quality wines in Alicante in the 1970’s. 

Based in the village of Líber, sustainability, respect and tradition are at the heart of Pepe’s approach and he is passionate about local grape varieties and winemaking techniques that have been handed down for generations ever since the time of the Romans.

He grows historic Mediterranean varieties- Muscat of Alexandria, Giró, Monastrell and Alicante Bouschet, as well as Macabeo and Airén on two different terroirs – coastal part of Marina Alta and Vinalopo, which is at higher altitude and further inland.
