Wente wines in Ireland

In 2023 Wente winery is celebrating its 140th anniversary. It is the oldest continuously family owned winery in the USA, now in its 5th generation. Wente are considered the “First Family of Chardonnay” since the “Wente clone” makes up 75% of California’s plantings and has been created in 1912 by Ernest Wente. The Morning Fog Chardonnay is their distinctive style showcasing just one of the high quality wines they produce. 

Based in California, with two main wine regions of Livermore valley and Arroyo Seco, the vineyard area expands over 3000 acres with 20 different varieties grown. They are a leader in sustainability, a part of California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance with sustainability certificates for the winery and the vineyards.
