Domaine Michel Lafarge (Burgundy, France) Biodynamic
One of the legendary estates in Volnay, Domaine Lafarge has been crafting understated and pure expressions of Pinot Noir for decades on 11.6 ha of vines in Volnay and Beaune. The range is a dazzling collection of terroir-driven Burgundy’s which are incredibly traditional in style. Little new oak is used in the winery allowing the purity of the fruit to shine through, giving wines of exceptional purity, focus and energy.
The 2021 vintage presented challenges with frost, resulting in exceptional quality but limited quantities. This special cuvée, “Volnay 1er Cru 5 Climats,” is a testament to that, a blend of select 1er Cru vineyards only produced in 2021.
